La Diputación de Málaga ha dado luz verde al proyecto para el arreglo de la carretera MA-5402, una vía que permite unir Ardales con El Burgo y Casarabonela. La actuación, que se enmarca en el proyecto de la Estrategia DUSI Caminito del Rey, supondrá una inversión de 500.000 euros y servirá para mejorar uno de los accesos a la Sierra de las Nieves. Con este proyecto , aprobado por la Junta de Gobierno de la institución provincial, se realizará una rehabilitación estructural del firme de la carretera en sus cuatro primeros kilómetros, dejando de esta forma la totalidad de la vía en condiciones óptimas de uso. Esta es una de las actuaciones del proyecto europeo Estrategia de Desarrollo Urbano Sostenible e Integrado Caminito del Rey, que ejecuta la Diputación de Málaga en Álora, Antequera, Ardales y Valle de Abdalajís con la cofinanciación del 80% por parte del Fondo Europeo de Desarrollo Regional.

The Diputación de Málaga has given the green light to the project for the arrangement of the MA-5402 road, a road that allows Ardales to join with El Burgo and Casarabonela. The action, which is part of the DUSI Caminito del Rey Strategy project, will involve an investment of 500,000 euros and will serve to improve one of the accesses to the Sierra de las Nieves.
