La ministra de Educación y Portavoz del Gobierno, Isabel Celaá, ha calificado la propuesta que realizó este jueves el líder de Podemos, Pablo Iglesias, para formar un gobierno de coalición, de "absurda y vacía de contenido". Le ha pedido que acepte ya que no existe la más mínima confianza para lograr un gobierno conjunto y decida si "va a volver a unirse a las tres derechas para impedir una vez más un gobierno progresista". Celaá se ha referido a la conversación de diez minutos que mantuvieron el líder socialista y el de la formación morada. Este último planteó que Podemos formara parte del Gobierno durante un año y para sacar adelante los Presupuestos Generales del Estado. Después, ofreció dejar el Ejecutivo si Pedro Sánchez considerase que la coalición no funciona y se comprometió a dar apoyo parlamentario para garantizar la estabilidad de la Legislatura. Sin embargo, Sánchez rechazó de plano esta nueva oferta.
